Serving Community: Leadership Memphis
For two years in a row we have been happy to align ourselves with Leadership Memphis. A graduate of the Spring 2010 class, Principal Ray Rico knows the importance of promoting Memphis and how helping to retain young professionals here is. “Going through the program helped not only enlighten me about what was going on in my community but it allowed me the opportunity to make a difference.” By partnering with Leadership Memphis Ray Rico Freelance has become a resourceful resource to many of the communications you receive from the organization. Here are some things you might have seen from us.

Our Message: Love Who You Are
It’s almost time for the MidSouth Pride’s Pride by the Riverside 2011 celebration. Saturday 10/15. This year, our message for all of the festival goers is “Love who you are.” Be on the lookout for my team of beautiful peacocks in the parade and at the festival. Be sure to stop by and visit our booth, too. We’ll have some really memorable tshirts for sale, you won’t want to miss out! For full parade and festival details visit MidSouth Pride. …and if you can’t make it to Downtown Memphis, watch the festivities as we stream LIVE video online on Saturday. Follow us on Twitter @ricoinmemphis or Like us on Facebook for the link.

Goodbye skirt!, we’ll miss you…
Well I just got official word today that one of our longest-running clients we used to have is officially closing its doors. skirt! magazine was a monthly tabloid women’s publication distributed locally in Memphis. The magazine was touted for its local content of women leaders in the community and a guy who donned a skirt each month (hence, the name). The pages were like readable art and the magazine will be missed.
