The CY First Thursday Night Out kicks off on Thursday, April 3 from 5 to 9 pm. Celebrating our sixth year, Night Out is when people of all ages get moving to stir up some fun in the historically hip area of Midtown called Cooper Young. The party starts at 5:00 pm with art shows, live music, drawings, free refreshments and discounts on everything from massages and chocolate to co-workspace and sushi.
This year, the live music at the gazebo is sponsored by Central Automotive located at 2189 Central Avenue. Playing at the gazebo starting at 6:00 pm is The Vintones. A talented four piece band known for bringing the spirit of the big rock bands of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s to life. Local musicians Zack Pretzer, Mike Crouse, Jeff Axthelm and Ron Pope will bring back some of your favorite rock hits. Artists from the Memphis Art Collective and other local area artists will set up around the gazebo selling their wares. Be sure to stop by and learn more about our CY Community Farmers Market as well as get your tickets for this year’s Art for Art’s Sake Auction available in the gazebo area.
Make it a point to bring your friends out to see why Cooper Young was named “One of the Top Ten Neighborhoods in America” by the American Planning Association. Below are shop specials, dining discounts, art shows, drawings and other fun things to get into on this night.
