#CYArtTour – Friday, April 3
Join us for the Cooper Young Art Tour held every first Friday of the month starting at 6:00 p.m. Jay Etkin, owner of Jay Etkin Gallery, creates special art exhibitions at Pop-Up Galleries at numerous business locations throughout our unique, historically hip neighborhood. Among the featured artists on Friday, April 3, are Maritza Davila with her hand-made books at Burke’s Book Store, Johnny Taylor’s paintings at Imagine Vegan Cafe, and Darla Linerode-Henson’s installation at Cooper Young Glassworks. Pop-up dance performances by Racine + Southern Dance Exchange, Mystic Dance Group and Mickey Bond will unfold at various locations around CY with additional artists exhibiting as well. The Roo will shuttle visitors down Young Avenue up to Imagine Vegan Cafe, CYCA, and Ray Rico then head back to Cooper St. all the way to Memphis Made Brewing. The Cooper Young Night Out series has been cancelled in favor of bringing all different forms of artistry into our historically hip neighborhood during the new CY Art Tour.
